These three beaches together from the world renowned crescent of the Kovalam Beach. At the Southernmost part is the Lighthouse beach, with the ethereal shimmer from the Vizhinjam Lighthouse creating a celestial beauty to the nights. Hawah Beach had been a favorite spot for the European tourists, who once enjoyed here roaming topless like the Eve, from which the beach got its name. The third one, Samudra Beach is the least prominent in terms of tourist attraction. This beach is more for fishermen doing their business.

September to March is considered to be the best time to visit Kovalam.
